Exfoliating Coffee Coconut Scrub Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons used coffee grounds (dried)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon desiccated coconut
  • 3 tablespoons liquid coconut oil

Instructions:

  1. Dry the Coffee Grounds:

    • Spread used coffee grounds on a baking sheet in a thin, even layer.
    • Air dry for several hours or overnight, stirring occasionally.
    • For quicker results, bake at 95Ā°C for about 35 minutes, stirring halfway through. Let cool completely.
  2. Melt the Coconut Oil (if needed):

    • If your coconut oil is solid, melt it using one of these methods:
      • Microwave: Microwave on high for 15-30 seconds, checking and stirring at 15-second intervals until fully melted.
      • Stovetop: Heat over low heat in a small saucepan, stirring occasionally, until melted.
      • Hot Water Bath: Place the solid coconut oil in a heatproof container and set it in a bowl of hot water, stirring occasionally until melted.
  3. Mix the Ingredients:

    • Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
    • Mix until well combined. Adjust consistency if needed.
  4. Store the Scrub:

    • Transfer to a jar or container with a well-fitting lid.
    • To use, spoon out the desired quantity, mix with a little water, and rub it on.

This scrub smells amazing with the aromas of coffee and coconut!
